Below are the things that should know and consider before heading for a instant face lift job:
- There are actually quit a wide variety of this so-called 'instant face lift' procedures that are available in the market today. One of the most popular of such non-surgical face life offerings and which quite favored by patients is the Botox injections. Botox injections can reduce the fine lines and wrinkles that appeared on the face. It can also make the skin become firmer and thus making the overall facial appearance looks slimmer. Botox injections are less invasive and thus, might not be as effective as getting a full blown face lift surgery. A single Botox session can cost you about $400 or higher depending on where you get it done. The number of injections that needed depends on the patient situation and which, the doctor will be able to tell that. However, there is a downside where there are cases wherein the patients weren't satisfied with the result or had the skin damaged by the Botox injections.
- Another type of quite popular instant face lift procedure is referred to as skin resurfacing. There are few different technique when it comes to skin resurfacing and which these include micro-dermabrasion, dermabrasion, laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels. These techniques are all designed to reduce or minimize fine lines, age spots, wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage as well as precancerous growths. Some of the things that you should pay attention when it comes to this procedure is the fact that there are people who might be sensitive to these chemical peels. Some have even experienced skin damage because of it, especially if they had it done in a cheap place that uses low quality and harsh chemicals.
- If skin resurfacing is not what your are looking for, there are still some other instant face lift procedures that you can try; thermage face lift and thread face lift. Thermage face lift procedure uses radio frequency to stimulate the growth of collagen under the skin. This procedure is able to remove wrinkles, making them smoother and firmer. Thread face lift, on the other hand, uses tiny thread to uplift the skin. The surgeon will use strings to hook up your excess muscle tissues and which extended up to the back of your ears. They are supposed to anchor the sagging skin and have it lifted until collagen build up to make the skin firmer and more toned. When it comes to effectiveness of such methods, the answer varies. There are cases where the patients were not satisfied with such treatments as they show no or very little difference at all and considering the price that they had paid, this seemed not worth it. However, they are debates on such procedures where the effectiveness depends on the surgeon's skill and of the suitability of the patient.
Instant Face Lift: Do Your Due Diligence
Each of the instant face lift procedures mentioned above come with their own sets of risk and effectiveness. When comparing to a full blown face lift surgery, the recovery and risk for these non-invasive procedures are very minimal but yet there are still something to considered.
For example, if you opt for Botox injections, then you are taking the risk of an allergic reaction to animal based chemicals that are used. On the other hand, if you are opting for the thread face lift, you are risking the body to react adversely (due to foreign objects that present under the skin).
Whatever instant face lift methods that you choose, you should always do a thorough research and consideration before proceeding with it. Talk to patients which have gone through them, join online forum pertaining this subject and even talk to a few doctors before committing to one. There will always be risk involved, but be sure to take a minimized and calculated risk; instant face lift might not be suitable for you and if that's the case, go for a real surgery instead.

Lots of good info. Another option is Intense Pulsed Light. It stimulates collagen and is another noninvasive technique. I've had it done. The results are subtle.

Interesting stuff. I guess all of these do hold risks, maybe the least of which is you'll spend a lot of money and not be satisfied with the results. I think your advice about due diligence is great.
